See Answer What makes Legion Solar different from other Solar Systems?

Legion Solar employs our game changing concept called Solar Regulator™, a technology to contain generated energy behind your meter where the utility company does not own enabling you to generate your own electricity without restriction. As a result, you avoid having to pay for costs normally built into traditional solar systems such as resellers markups, professional installation, sales rep overhead, workers comp insurance, permits, regulatory other fees. We've designed Legion Solar to be lean and mean, where you're paying only for the necessary items to get the job done making Legion Solar 300% more affordable than tradition solar systems.

See Answer What is the ROI of your system?

Return on investment will depend on location and cost of electricity from your energy provider. On average, Legion Solar customers enjoy about a 3 year ROI.

See Answer Do I need permission from my utility company to install Legion Solar?

No, you do not.

For traditional grid tied contractor installed solar, interconnection permission with the utility company is required for them to grant you status to back feed (generate power) to the grid.

Traditional contractor installed solar hinges on utility company permission because you are back feeding (generating power) to their grid. As a result, the utility company requires a rigorous application process with city permits, plans, fees, etc. The city requires fees, site plans to be submitted and evaluated to be granted a permit. The solar contractor can not legally perform the installation without the city permit. The home owner can not turn on their solar system without final inspection from the city and utility company's detailed review of all of the above before they grant you permission to turn on your solar system.

Legion Solar™ is not a traditional contractor installed solar system. Legion Solar with SolarRegulator™ allows you to contain the energy that you produce on your side of the meter where the utility company does not own. As a result, it is not necessary to seek interconnection approval and/or permits pertaining to grid tied solar interconnection. Legion Solar works with your existing rate program to simply drive your consumption down. In other words, the utility company only sees less consumption from you, not a grid tied solar system.

Legion Solar™ is unique because it is an off grid system with on grid benefits and installs like any home appliance. Home owners have the right to install/connect any appliance behind their own meter inside their own home unrestricted.

See Answer Do I need city permission to install Legion Solar?

Traditional grid tied contractor installed solar systems require a city permit because the utility company will not approve your solar system to back feed (generate power) without your city’s approval to install grid tied solar. Also, without a city permit, the contractor can not legally perform the solar system installation. Permission to turn on your grid tied solar system from your utility company and city hinges on whether or not your solar system is back feeding to the utility company’s grid.

Legion Solar™ is a do-it-yourself solar system that does not require a contractor to perform the installation. Legion Solar with Solar Regulator™ allows you to contain the solar energy produced behind your utility meter where the utility company does not own. As a result, interconnection permission with the utility company is not necessary and any supporting regulatory steps required by the utility company (like city permission) is also not necessary.

Legion Solar is unique because it has the qualities of an off grid system with on grid benefits. Legion Solar installs like any home appliance and not like a traditional contractor installed solar system. Home owners have the right to install/connect any appliance behind their own meter inside their own home unrestricted.
